Cinema Reel is a small curatorial house with one stubborn belief: a film should reach an audience in its native grain — on the format, at the aspect ratio, and in the dark its maker intended. Each season we gather a handful of independent documentaries and carry them, reel by reel, from festival floors to the rooms where they belong.

No algorithms decide our programme. We watch everything ourselves, twice, and we project everything ourselves — 16mm, 65mm, or pristine 4K, whatever the work demands. What you find here is the result: a rotating exhibition of the year’s most quietly astonishing real-life cinema.
